|So you want to learn Klingon? Well, I’m going to be hosting a bunch of stuff to
help someone learn the Klingon language. You’ll need a few things before we get started:
You can pick it up at some bookstores, as well as ebay. There are a couple of other books you can grab (The Klingon Way and Klingon for the Galactic Traveler), but the dictionary is the only must have.
If you don’t want to bother with the book (or your waiting for it to arrive) and want to dive straight in, you can grab the Klingon Language Institutes postal course. Since I doubt you’ll get a response from the KLI, you can email your answers to me (quSPrgh at wizAMage dot nNOet, remove the capital letters) and I can grade them for you.
|I have scanned in a few copies of HolQeD (the KLI’s quarterly journal), originally for my personal use only but since you can’t buy them anymore, and the KLI is not releasing new ones, I’ve decided to allow others to access them.
If the KLI starts selling these again, I will remove the link.
|Now if you don’t want to read all that stuff, you can always turn to Conversational Klingon and Power Klingon. Two audio tapes released around ’93. You can’t buy them new anymore although you can sometimes find them on ebay. Since they are out of print, and probably not a huge money maker for Viacom, I have linked them into my database tool below. You can find them under Media, Audio files.|
|I have created a web site to assist people who wish to learn the Klingon language. While it is not fully completed yet, it is still very useful in its current state:|
