At least it feels like long ago. This is a “personal” post. It’s probably of little interest to anyone besides me, so I’ll make it quick.

When I was a kid I used to really like a song. All I could remember from the song was the line “crumbling stone by stone, Beirut”. I didn’t know who sang it, when it was recorded or what the actually title of the song was. So after spending many years searching online I finally found the song (thanks in part to Google and in part to the increasing amount of music online).

So I watched 1408 last night. Now I’m going to start by saying that I’m not a Stephen King fan. That aside, 1408 was a really good movie. It was very different from your normal horror.  

It felt more like something Lovecraft would write, which I think is probably the reason I liked it. It wasn’t this long drawn out story about a bunch of people being killed, it was a delve into the supernatural and it’s effects on the mind. This is how I would imagine an Evil Room being.

So, if you like horror/scary movies, I recommend it. If you like supernatural storys (ones without the blood and guts) then I recommend it for you as well.

As for myself, while I watched the movie, part of me was saying, “Damn, I hope that never happens to me!” while another part was saying, “I wish I could experience the supernatural at that level!”. I would definatly be a life changing experience if that ever really happened to you.

This is the coolest art I have ever seen, I want this guy to do something on my drive way!
